A broad valley on the east coast, with the mysterious Pyramids of Güímar, the small port of Puertito and a volcanic nature reserve.
Güímar is a real town with its own life, in a wide valley that faces south-east, sunnier than the valleys of the north. It is known for the stepped stone Pyramids of Güímar, now an ethnographic park, and for the Malpaís de Güímar, a lava-field nature reserve on the coast.
Puertito de Güímar is the seaside village, with a promenade and a marina. The motorway makes Santa Cruz an easy commute, so many residents work there.
